LIRR to the airtrain to JetBlue direct to Aruba. Makes for convenient travel from the east end of Long Island. We stayed downtown again this trip. Absolutely love watching all the action on L.G. Smith Blvd. from the pool deck. Especially when the cruise ships are in.

Our one week getaway (thank you, JetBlue) consisted of breakfast, heading out to the pool to relax in and out of the sun for a few hours and then ordering lunch from the fantastic pool staff. After lunch we would take the launch over to Renaissance Island and do our best at relaxing in that location. We did good! Back at the hotel we'd have a cocktail and decide on where to have dinner. A few afternoons we got to watch the cruise ships take off during happy hour. Quite the sight.

Dinners were had at Kowloon ( not as good as I remembered- but there was a huge birthday party there the night we went, could be why), Delimar ( very good), The Old Fisherman ( great staff- food- ok), Iguana Joe ( always a hit), Driftwood , Blue Bar and 7 West.

Oh, and 1 day we took the trolley down past all the stores and back again.

Our flight back was delayed because of weather up north. About 2 hours, not too bad. Our connections from the airtrain to the railroad were perfect. Today it's 8° outside and I'm wishing we were back in Aruba!
