I meant to write this as I vacationed, but things got busy! I love reading trip reports while I'm waiting for my own turn to visit my favorite place!
We spent three heavenly weeks at Aruba Beach Club, our timeshare. The first week we joined my parents and unfortunately my mom was having some serious health issues. The staff at ABC were most kind and helpful and she ended up hospitalized for several days. The hospital in Aruba was very good, no complaints. During week one we did a tour with Aruba Outdoor Adventures Pedal Kayaking and I cannot recommend this enough! RJ runs his small business beautifully, taking only small groups of seven or less, and was a wealth of knowledge. We did the best snorkeling of our lives and can't wait to try another tour next summer! We also stayed a night at the Renaissance downtown so we could go see the flamingos. They were fun to see, but I would not do it again. The adult or flamingo beach is all rough coral and shells making entrance to the water quite painful. There also was not sufficient shade for the number of people there. I won a jackpot at Alhambra casino and immediately paid my timeshare maintenance fees for next year - winning! My husband dove with JADS in week one and saw many turtles so he was thrilled. We ate at Wacky Wahoo, Ricardo's, Yemanja, Pizza Bob's, and did a wine pairing at Twist of Flavors that I would certainly do again!
Week two my daughter and her friends arrived, as well as a couple I used to work with, and many old timeshare friends. We renewed our wedding vows in a mass ceremony with about 160 couples, put on by Aruba tourism and it was really nice and much better than I had expected. We did our annual Jolly Pirate trip, which never fails to entertain. Finally made it to Soprano's piano bar and LOVED it! Karaoke night at Ricardo's, followed by some refreshing night swimming in the ocean-there's nothing like it! We ate at Azzurro, El Gaucho, Pizza Bob's, Chalet Suisse, and Water's Edge.
Week three arrived, said bye to some friends and family and welcomed my sister and brother in law and my husband's childhood friend and his wife, all first time visitors who didn't want to do much, mostly beach and relax, our favorite things! We did another tour with the Pirate's, they're so nice and fun, always a good time! I visited Urgent Care in Noord because I had lost my voice and had a killer stiff neck, thankfully they got me feeling much better quickly before my long trip home! We ate at Pizza Bob's, Ricardo's twice, Pincho's, and Madame Janette's.

The weather was great, no issues at all. The Aruban people were their normal friendly selves. Many happy happy hours were spent at Ricardo's bar. We thoroughly enjoyed all the restaurants we went to and Azzurro was our favorite new find. We spent hours in the ocean and on the beach, enjoying leisure time with friends and family, new and old. Already counting down until next summer!
