We are in with homemade vegetable soup. DH added some chicken sausage and beans. Perhaps there was a Grey Goose Mule.

D/O mac/beef casserole and gin and tonics. It was an okay day until about four when some guy came through the front door with a cat in a carrier. His uncle died and no one in the family can take care of this poor cat. He's been trying to dump the cat in several shelters and said if it wasn't so cold out he would just let it go. I said the best thing to do for your uncle's memory is for a family member to take care of his cat. No can do, my mother hates cats, I have kids, yada yada yada. I hate people. He'll probably dump the cat somewhere.

Oh Laura, that's awful. I hope he can find someone to adopt the cat. :(

We just finished leftover chicken thighs, Honeynut squash and adding cauliflower tots. I was home at 2:00 to meet the oil co. so I made a cocktail at 4:00. That's ok, right? I made a Cosmo on the rocks in a skull glass. I'm on my 3rd or 4th now.

I started the pellet stove around 4:00 and it's nice and toasty in here. Our friends are in Aruba and just texted me that they bought fresh grouper from a restaurant and they're grilling it at the house they're renting. JEALOUS!

Cheers to the weekend.

Cheers! Picked up Subway on the way home from haircuts. I had a Sun-dried tomato/basil wrap with turkey, bacon, guac, lettuce, maters, and ranch dressing. Yummy. My bloody Caesar is sitting next to my La-Z-Boy waiting for Elaine to start Hawaii 5-0.

People who have said (to themselves) that I can't care for this cat or kittens...and have let them go 'free', have led to an estimated 60,000 feral cats in this county. It is often not cold enough here...so the population keeps growing.
One local city had a TNR program (trap, neuter, release). They recently said they could not continue to fund it. The people spoke...and it is being delayed.

To topic: We had burgers. Too dark, too rainy to grill outside. My fave is just burger with cheese and thin sliced onion. No ugly ketchup, no mustard, no sweet relish. I skipped the onion because of earlier tummy troubles. We had some 3-Bean salad with it.

I'm back, I think. I did decide to add something stronger to my Perrier. DW doesn't like Perrier, but buys it to add to the formula for unleavened communion bread.
