Or just drinking tonight??

We're having grilled sirloin, zucchini/summer squash/tomato casserole, and a cuke/tomato/onion salad.

Tom's firing up the grill now. We're just having burgers.

Some drama here today with a very large blue spruce being hit by lightning at 5:00 a.m.
Seriously the loudest sound Tom and I have ever heard. We both sat right up in bed and Billy
was on all 4's wondering what the hell was going on. He ran to both windows in our bedroom
looking out before jumping back up in bed with us.

Our electricity provider, National Grid came by. They sent a tree removing company out
and Tom assisted w/his truck in cutting the rest of the tree down. So sad! Our blue spruces
are beautiful.

We had strip steaks, cauliflower steaks and a garden salad. All very yummy. Sorry about your tree Patti. :( Glad it didn't hit your house.

Sad about your tree!!! We went out for lunch and just had fridge leftover stuff for dinner. Calling it a mishmash is being kind. Half a watermelon for desert. Apparently it is time to go food shopping tomorrow!

Sorry about your tree Patti, glad to hear no one was hurt and you had no damage. Tony had Chicken tonight, I had a salad - having stomach issues again - and Gina had a veggie burger and salad. She now has lost 77 pounds on Weight Watchers!

I had a pork chop I'd cooked on the grill and then frozen. Good.

Good Evening. I know I had too much, that's for sure, but man I love to watch my kids be happy and eat a lot. Boys and I went shopping tonight and ended up at Ruby Tuesday's. They both signed up for the 'club' in order to get free appetizers. Matthew had shrimp fondue and then some sort of fish/shrimp platter w/ salad bar and rice. TJ had some sort of pizza dip appetizer, then a burger and salad bar. I sampled both of their appetizers, then had salad bar and upgraded it to 'veggie' combo - 3 side dishes.... mashed potatoes and veggies. I'm stuffed.

To "pattiw" --- We had a beautiful Colorado blue spruce at the side of our home in Albany. It wasn't near any power lines, but on our last visit to Albany the whole top was burned off and left like that by the new owner. We guessed it was hit by lightning, burned and the present owner didn't get any help from National Grid (as you did).

To all regarding din-din --- We dined out with neighbors from Michigan and here. 6 adults and a pre-schooler enjoyed Italian in downtown Daytona. Chicken parm, lasagna, chicken piccata and 2 kinds of pizza. Nice place. We ate inside. They have a very nice courtyard with tables, but the usual summer thunderstorm was threatening.
